Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash on Lenwood Road Kills Marvin Lane Beamon III of Reno

 
Barstow, CA (April 23, 2021) – On Wednesday, 36-year-old Marvin Lane Beamon III of Reno, NV, died in a hit-and-run crash on Lenwood Road.
 
The fatal crash took place at about 7:13 a.m. north of Camino Del Sol.
 
Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian down on the right shoulder of Lenwood Road.
 
When they arrived, they determined that Beamon was walking north within the northbound lane when an unknown vehicle driving in the same direction struck him.
 
He was later located by a passing motorist and despite life-saving measures, Beamon was pronounced dead at 6:17 A.M.
 
Authorities said the suspect driver did not stop and fled northbound on Lenwood Road. They added that the suspect’s vehicle should have damages on the right front side from the impact. It is unknown whether alcohol and or drugs were factors in the accident.
