78-Year-Old Foster City Man Fatally Injured in Bicycle-SUV Crash at Foster City Boulevard
FOSTER CITY, CA (March 23, 2018) – A bicyclist was struck and killed by a car on the intersection of East Hillsdale Boulevard and Foster City Boulevard, late Friday morning.
The victim was identified by the San Mateo County coroner’s office as 78-year-old Marvin Crockett of Foster City.
According to the police, the incident happened around 11:25 AM. Crockett was heading east on his bicycle across East Hillsdale Blvd in the westbound lanes, when a blue Toyota Camry heading north on Foster City Blvd hit him.
Paramedics arrived to the scene of the accident, and treated the elderly man before transporting him to the Stanford Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
