Marty Wampler Killed in Brutal Crash on Loop 338 [Ector County, TX]

Trent Wallis and Sue Maudean Hospitalized in Deadly FM 3503 Collision

Ector County, TX (August 30, 2023) On Tuesday, 63-year-old Marty Wampler of Odessa died after a brutal crash on Loop 338.

Authorities say that the deadly collision happened on Loop 338 and FM 3503.

Officials say that the driver of an eastbound 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, identified as Sue Maudean failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto FM 3503.

Maudean’s vehicle struck a westbound 2022 Ford F-150, driven by 22-year-old Herman Morales.

Authorities say that the Chevrolet had 2 passengers, Wampler and 19-year-old Trent Wallis. Medics transported Maudean, Wallis, and Wampler to Medical Center Hospital.

Officials say that Wampler died at the hospital and Maudean suffered serious injuries and is in critical condition. Meanwhile, Wallis is reported to be in stable condition.

Medics transported Morales to MCH as well, fortunately, he was later released with no injuries reported.

Authorities are investigating the deadly crash on Loop 338.
