Injuries Reported in HWY 6 Fatal Crash
Waller County, TX [March 13, 2024) – 31-year-old Henry Rodriguez and 25-year-old Martir Augusto of Houston were killed following a vehicle collision on Highway 6 Tuesday morning.
The fatal traffic accident happened at about 9 a.m. at FM 2979.
DPS officers said a Toyota driven by 38-year-old Jamie Kmiec of Hemstead was stopped at the stop sign on FM 2979. Kmiec failed to yield the right of way when a Chevrolet driven by 36-year-old Vallecious Martinez of Houston traveled northbound on the same freeway.
As a result, the Chevrolet rolled multiple times.
Rodriguez and Augusto who were passengers in the Chevrolet were ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, both of them died in this collision.
Martinez was also ejected from the vehicle and was seriously injured.
Moreover, the paramedics took Kmiec to Scott and White Hospital in College Station for minor injuries.
Officers are investigating this collision and charges for her are still pending.
