Two Cars Collide, One Overturns on Highway 4 in Martinez
MARTINEZ, CA (March 6, 2019) – One person was injured following a rollover crash early Wednesday morning in Martinez.
The crash happened around 12:18 a.m. on westbound Highway 4, just between Pacheco Boulevard and Morello Avenue.
According to the CHP, a white Honda Civic and a silver Honda CRV collided causing one of them to overturn on its roof. When officers arrived, the Honda Civic was facing the wrong way on the right shoulder.
A downed power pole was also found in the crash site.
A male occupant was reportedly injured from the crash and a passerby helped him get out of the car.
An ambulance unit was dispatched to the scene and took the injured patient to a hospital for proper treatment. The extent of injuries sustained was not immediately known.
The specific cause of the crash and who may be at fault remain under investigation.
