Camaro Driver Flees in Bakersfield Fatal Collision
Bakersfield, CA (November 28, 2023) – 43-year-old Martin Williams of Bakersfield was fatally struck on Union Avenue on Thanksgiving morning.
The fatal hit-and-run collision happened before 3 a.m. in the 800 block area.
Officers said Williams was crossing outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a black northbound Camaro.
Immediately, the rescuers took the pedestrian to Kern Medical where he was declared dead.
The Camaro driver, on the other hand, left the vehicle at the accident scene and fled.
Troopers are still investigating the Union Avenue hit-and-run collision.
