Thurston County Sheriff Deputies say that the pedestrian crash happened around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection with Duterrow Road Southeast.

Reports say an eastbound black sedan struck the man crossing a crosswalk. Moreover, the sedan ran a red light before speeding up at the intersection.

Rescuers found the injured pedestrian down on the road. Paramedics rushed the victim to Providence St. Peter Hospital.

Furthermore, the suspect driver fled the scene without helping the pedestrian.
