23-Year-Old Petaluma Motorcyclist Fatally Struck by SUV near Twin Bridge Road
MARIN COUNTY, CA (July 9, 2018) – A man was killed Monday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with an SUV near Twin Bridge Road. The Marin County Coroner Division later identified the victim as 23-year-old Martin Rodriguez-Signor, a resident of Petaluma.
As per reports, the collision took place at about 3:30 PM in the 2600 block of Tomales Petaluma Road. A recently purchased 2019 Triumph Speed Triple sport motorcycle, driven by Rodriguez-Signor, was heading eastbound at a high rate of speed.
The motorcycle crossed the double yellow painted lines and collided with a westbound Toyota Highlander SUV, driven by 62-year-old Jack Ramey of Dillon Beach. The impact ejected Rodriguez-Signor from the motorcycle, and onto the road’s shoulder.
Paramedics responded to the incident and pronounced the rider dead at the scene. Ramey was reportedly unharmed in the collision. A postmortem examination and toxicology testing have been scheduled to determine the cause of the rider’s untimely death.
No additional information has been released to the public at this time.
