Martin Mendez-Jimenez Arrested in N Lamar Boulevard Fatal Accident [Austin, TX]

Austin, TX (September 1, 2023) – On August 27, a sedan driver died and the authorities arrested Martin Mendez-Jimenez in a N Lamar Boulevard fatal accident.

Austin police responded to the 9600 block area wherein a collision between the driver of a two-door car and the driver of a sedan took place.

The two-door car driver tried to flee the scene but was subdued until the authorities arrived.

As the witnesses helped on getting the passenger out of the sedan, the sedan driver got out of the vehicle and laid down next to the vehicle due to injuries.

Afterward, a pedestrian approached to help the sedan driver, however, a pick-up truck driven by Martin Mendez-Jimenez struck both the pedestrian and the sedan driver. 

Unfortunately, the sedan driver died on the accident scene. 

The pedestrian and the sedan passenger were transported to a hospital with serious injuries while the two-door car’s driver was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Mendez-Jimenez left the crash scene but was followed by a witness until the authorities could locate him.
