Modesto Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Hatch Road Ceres
Ceres, CA (May 18, 2020)– On Monday morning, Martha Guzman, resident of Modesto, died in a two-vehicle collision on Hatch Road.
Ceres Police responded upon receiving crash reports at around 6:30 a.m. on May 18, occurring on eastbound Hatch Road, approaching Central Avenue. Dispatched officers arrived and located a sedan and a pickup truck on the scene.
Reportedly, a red sedan went over the cement center divider and into oncoming traffic under unknown circumstances. There, an approaching pickup truck failed to stop and collided with the sedan.
The extent of Guzman’s sustained injuries killed her on the spot.
Meanwhile, the two occupants of the pickup truck sustained injuries and were transported to an area hospital for immediate aid. However, their current condition has not yet updated. Their identities remain undisclosed.
Moreover, Police confirmed DUI is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is ongoing.
