Chevrolet Driver Mark Steinhardt Injured in Deadly Crash on Highway 103 [Angelina County, TX]

Angelina County, TX (August 25, 2024) – A Chevrolet, Mark Steinhardt, 26, of Temple, was injured in a deadly crash on Highway 103 Saturday morning.

It was about 9:45 a.m. when an eastbound Honda Civic crossed into the westbound lane. The Honda then struck an oncoming Chevrolet wrecker driven by Steinhardt. Afterward, the Honda also struck a Toyota Highlander driven by Lisa Zela, 52, of Bronson.

The Honda driver, Dustin Blalock, 40, of Huntington, was killed at the scene.

Responding medical team treated Mark Steinhardt at the scene and released him.

Lisa Zela was transported to a hospital in Lufkin for non-life-threatening injuries.

DPS troopers are investigating the cause of this fatal crash.
