60-Year-Old Mark Oale Dies after 3-Car Crash on 35th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (April 2, 2023) – Saturday night, 60-year-old Mark Oale died in a 3-car crash on 35th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.

The fatal crash on 35th Avenue in Phoenix happened around 11 p.m. on April 1.

Phoenix Police said a teen boy driving a truck ran a red light while going west on Union Hills Drive. 

Then, while traveling south on 35th Avenue, he struck the car being driven by Mark Oale, 60. Afterward, another car that was halted at the intersection was forced into Oale’s car. 

EMS rushed Oale to the hospital, where he eventually passed away.

The teen boy and driver of the third vehicle had minor injuries from the crash. 

Investigators said none of the drivers involved in the crash showed signs of impairment.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
