38-Year-Old Mark McGowan Dead After Crash on State Highway 110 in Cherokee County
Cherokee County, TX (February 19, 2024) – On Thursday night, 38-year-old Mark McGowan died in a crash on State Highway 110.
According to DPS, a Jacksonville man lost his life on Thursday while walking in the roadway in Cherokee County.
DPS reports state that Mark McGowan, 38, walked south in the northbound lane of State Highway 110 near Ponta in Cherokee County around 10:04 p.m.
Thursday. Meanwhile, a man from Bryan, driving north on SH 110 in a GMC pickup towing a trailer, struck McGowan.
Authorities pronounced McGowan dead at the scene.
