1 Dead in Santa Cruz County Four-Vehicle Crash on 19 Freeway
AMADO, AZ (November 29, 2019) – A 27-year-old woman from Nogales died in a four-vehicle crash on 19 Freeway on November 22.
Maritza Campa of Nogales died after the crash happened at about 6:40 p.m. According to reports, Maritza Campa drove a Chevrolet Malibu north on 19 Freeway when her vehicle went off the road. After that, she drove across the median and approached the southbound lanes.
Campa then hit a southbound Chrysler 200.
Campa died at the scene while the Chrysler driver sustained injuries and went to Banner UMC in Tucson.
The crash also involved two other vehicles but the occupants of the said vehicles did not suffer any injuries.
