Marissa Powell and Cecil Kelley Dies in Head-On Crash on FM 765 [San Angelo, TX]

San Angelo, TX (December 28, 2024) On Wednesday, 24-year-old Marissa Powell of Houston and 79-year-old Cecil Kelley of Eden were killed in a tragic head-on crash on FM 765.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS), the fatal crash happened at about 8:35 p.m. on FM 765, near mile marker 404.

Reports say that tragedy struck in Concho County on Christmas Day when a head-on collision claimed the lives of two individuals near Eola.

Authorities say that a westbound Kia van veered into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. The impact ignited the eastbound vehicle in flames.

The driver of the Kia van, Cecil Kelley died at the scene. Similarly, Marissa Powell, driving the eastbound vehicle, also succumbed to the crash.

A passenger in the Kia van, 78-year-old Priscilla Kelley of Eden, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Shannon Medical Center for medical care.
