1 Dead and 1 Detained after Phoenix Pedestrian Accident
PHOENIX, AZ (December 10, 2019) – A 55-year-old woman died while another man got arrested after a pedestrian accident on November 27.
According to reports, 32-year-old Anthony Cancilliere got arrested after hitting a woman while impaired with drugs and escaped the scene. Cancilliere drove west on Indian School Road when he struck a 55-year-old Marisa Kramer walking across mid-block on 81st Avenue about 7:05 p.m.
Cancilliere tried to slow but he then escaped the scene. The officers found him driving his Saturn Sedan near 99th Avenue and Indian School Road. Meanwhile, responders took Marisa Kramer to a hospital.
Authorities evaluated Cancilliere and found that he’s intoxicated with drugs. Authorities booked him into the Fourth Avenue Jail not staying at the scene of a crash and driving under the influence.
The authorities are still investigating the crash.
