SPOKANE, WA (February 12, 2023) – Friday night, Mario Rodriguez Jr died in a car crash on Road 4-Northeast and Road L-Northeast.

The incident happened on Road 4-Northeast and Road L-Northeast.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) identified the man as 18-year-old Mario Rodriguez Jr of Moses Lake.

Officers confirmed that Rodriguez drove his Mercedes east on Road 4-Northeast. Then, it didn’t stop at the stop sign at Road L-Northeast.

Then, the Mercedes struck a Ford pickup truck heading southbound.

Meanwhile, the 55-year-old man driving the Ford refused medical care at the scene.

Then, responders took the 18-year-old passenger in the Mercedes, 18-year-old Taylor K. Davidson of Moses Lake, to Samaritan Healthcare with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
