1 Dead in Koreatown Scooter Accident on Western Avenue and Olympic Boulevard

 
KOREATOWN, CA (March 6, 2022) – Saturday morning, Mario Ramos Morales died in a hit-and-run crash on Western Avenue.
 
The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. on Western Avenue and Olympic Boulevard.
 
According to reports, a northbound blue Dodge Caravan struck E-Scooter rider Morales and knocked him into the street. Then, an unknown vehicle driving south on Western Avenue dragged 22-year-Mario Ramos Morales about 60 feet. Then, he came to rest in front of a bus stop.
 
However, the vehicle driver didn’t stop and fled the scene. Meanwhile, responders declared Morales dead at the scene.
 
Also, the 39-year-old Los Angeles man driving the minivan stopped. Authorities do not believe that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash.
 
Anyone who can give information leading to an offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through civil compromise may receive a reward of up to $50,000.
