Mario Lopez Arrested in Woodland DUI Crash Killing 61-Year-Old Man
Woodland, CA (July 17, 2021) – On Friday, officers arrested Mario Lopez in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Tide Court killing a 61-year-old man.
Officers received a crash report at 8:50 a.m., at the intersection with Pioneer Avenue, about a man who may have been shoved from a vehicle and shot.
When the authorities arrived at the scene, they determined that the man died in a hit-and-run crash.
Officers reached out to a 19-year-old driver and passenger after someone reported a suspicious vehicle on Gillette Drive, near East Gum Avenue.
The authorities determined it was the suspect vehicle.
They arrested Lopez and booked him into the Yolo County Jail.
Lopez faces charges for murder, hit-and-run resulting in death, driving under the influence with an enhancement and driving on a suspended license.
