Mario Contreras Jr Fell off 100-Foot Wind Turbine near Highway 62
Desert Hot Springs, CA (January 05, 2021) – On Wednesday, 52-year-old Mario Contreras Jr of Calexico died in an industrial accident West of Highway 62.
The tragic incident took place at about 11:15 a.m. when he fell off a 100-foot wind turbine near Oleander Drive and Painted Hills Road.
Unfortunately, authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
Site Constructors Inc. said one of its employees “fell more than 100 feet inside the tower of a wind turbine, ”.
