The fatal crash happened at around 10 a.m. north of North Davis Farms Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol report released Wednesday evening, Olmstead was riding her bicycle westbound on County Road 110A when she was struck and killed.
Furthermore, the CHP did not identify the 2002 Ford Focus driver, a 31-year-old Davis man. Also, there was no immediate report of any charges being filed against him.
The CHP said the driver was traveling northbound on CR100A at between 40- and 45 mph. At the same time, the bicyclist appeared from Davis Farms Road (a private country road) into the path of the Ford Focus.
