89-Year-Old Woman Fatally Injured on West 19th Street Approaching Euclid Avenue Near Pioneer Junior High School
UPLAND, CA (January 24, 2018) – Late afternoon on Wednesday around 4:54 PM, a fatal two-car accident was reported on West 19th Street near North Euclid Avenue.
89-year-old Marie Jose Irene Strouse and her husband, George, were traveling eastbound in a Dodge on W 19th St approaching stopped traffic. For unknown reasons, the Dodge crashed into the back of the stopped cars near N Euclid Ave.
Police officials and emergency personnel responded to the site of the collision, and Strouse was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in this fatal crash, according to authorities.
The Upland Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
