32-Year-Old Oxnard Woman Killed in Pedestrian Collision near West Robert Avenue
OXNARD, CA (July 20, 2018) – A woman was killed Friday evening after she was struck by a vehicle near West Robert Avenue.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, the deadly collision took place shortly before 9:30. A white 2005 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck was traveling northbound when it struck a woman crossing North Oxnard Boulevard.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Maricela Silva of Oxnard, was rushed to the Ventura County Medical Center after sustaining serious injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced dead by the medical staff. Meanwhile, the driver, a 67-year-old Santa Paula woman, stayed at the scene and was cooperative with the investigators.
