Maribel Acebedo of Fontana Dies in Interstate 5 Collision [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (December 22, 2022) – On December 14, Maribel Acebedo, 39, of Fontana, sustained fatal injuries following an Interstate 5 collision.

The fatal collision took place at about 10:02 p.m. on the southbound freeway, located north of 32nd Street.

Officers say a 2019 Toyota sedan went down the freeway’s embankment and struck an overpass bridge pillar.

Immediately, the paramedics rushed the passenger, Maribel Acebedo, to an area hospital where she was declared dead.

In the meantime, officers are identifying the cause of the Interstate 5 fatal collision.
