1 Dead in Fort Worth Auto Accident on West Division Street

FORT WORTH, TX (December 10, 2023) – Last month, Marianne Brown died in a horrific DUI crash on West Division Street.

The incident occurred last November 20th, just after 9:00 a.m. on West Division Street.

“Monday morning, she was 11 minutes from home. We were just talking about her taking back roads as if it’s the safer thing to do. We were talking about it the day before,” the victim’s daughter, Elizabeth Hudec, said.

According to reports, a suspected drunk driver, 44-year-old Guerrero Madrid-Salgado, hit a 75-year-old victim head-on in Arlington just after 9 a.m.

As Madrid-Salgado drove the wrong way on West Division Street, he hit Brown’s Chevy Silverado.

As a result, Brown succumbed to injuries at the scene.

Investigators suspect that Madrid-Salgado was under the influence due to the smell of alcohol on his breath and slurred speech.

Witnesses confirmed that they saw Madrid-Salgado throw beer cans into the grass before officers arrived.

Madrid-Salgado is currently booked in the Tarrant County Jail facing charges of intoxication manslaughter and drug possession.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.

We want to send our sincere sympathies to the bereaved family and friends of the victim.
