Mariana Godinez of Reedley Dies in Fresno Crash
Fresno, CA (August 23, 2021) – On Monday, 28-year-old Mariana Godinez of Reedley, lost her life in a semi-truck crash on Highway 99.
The fatal rear-end crash took place just before 2 a.m. south of Jensen Avenue.
Investigating officers said Godinez’s blue four-door car crashed into the back of a semi-truck and went underneath it.
Unfortunately, she sustained major injuries and died at the scene.
Moreover, rescue team used special equipment to help pull her vehicle from beneath the big rig.
Meanwhile, officers said the truck driver was traveling the speed limit. They are still investigating the fatal incident.
