56-Year-Old Redmond Woman Killed in Collision with Dump Truck near Northeast Tolt Hill Road
SAMMAMISH, WA (September 5, 2018) – A woman was killed late Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle crash near Northeast Tolt Hill Road. The victim was later identified as 56-year-old Marian Bulger, a resident of Redmond.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident took place at about 11:39 AM. An SUV, driven by Bulger, was heading east on Highway 202 when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a dump truck. Flames fully engulfed the truck as a result of the impact.
Bulger sustained fatal injuries, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Meanwhile, the dump truck driver, identified as 26-year-old Mickey Fay of Snoqualmie, was transported to the Overlake Hospital in Bellevue with minor injuries.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No other information has been released to the public at this time.
