Injuries Reported in Visalia Multi-Vehicle Accident on E Noble Avenue
VISALIA, CA (June 22, 2021) – Monday afternoon, authorities arrested Mariah Chaffin for a stolen ambulance crash on E Noble Avenue.
The Visalia Police Department came to assist medical professionals at about 3:38 p.m.
The crash happened near the 700 block of E. Noble Avenue.
Subsequently the authorities revealed that 38-year-old Mariah Chaffin drove off in a stolen ambulance.
Shortly after, police managed to catch up with Chaffin.
Apparently, she drove the ambulance with emergency lights and sirens on.
When they approached downtown Visalia near Acequia and Locust, Chaffin struck another ambulance.
Moreover, the ambulance carried a patient. Then, she hit a police car.
Thus, the authorities took Mariah Chaffin into custody. Eventually, they took her to the hospital.
Also, a Visalia Police Officer required hospitalization after suffering injuries in the crash.
Upon release from the hospital, Chaffin will be booked for assault with a deadly weapon.
Additionally, other charges include resisting arrest, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
