Mariah Beltran of San Bernardino Dies in Vehicle Crash on 10 Freeway [San Bernardino, CA]

San Bernardino, CA (May 9, 2022) – On Saturday, at 1:23 a.m., 25-year-old San Bernardino woman Mariah Beltran dies in a vehicle crash on 10 Freeway.

Officers said the collision took place east of Holt Avenue in the Covina area of Los Angeles County.

Beltran was riding a westbound 2006 Saturn Vue driven by 22-year-old Carlos Rivas of Los Angeles.

Suddenly, Rivas lost control of the vehicle and crashed with a 2018 Honda Accord driven by a 47-year-old Los Angeles woman.

The impact of the collision made Saturn to overturn.

Immediately, the paramedics rushed Beltran and Rivas to Pomona Valley Hospital, where Beltran succumbed to her injuries. Rivas was treated for his moderate injuries.

The Accord driver sustained minor injuries but the rescuers did not take her to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the authorities do not consider alcohol as a factor in the fatal collision.
