Person Dies in HWY 101 Pedestrian Accident
San Jose, CA (march 29, 2024) – 62-year-old Maria Ortega of San Jose was involved following a Highway 101 fatal accident Thursday morning.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened around 3:40 a.m. south of Berryessa Road and north of McKee Road.
Responding officers located a man deceased on the highway after he was hit by a 2006 Chrysler.
The Chrysler’s driver, Maria Ortega, reported the accident. She sustained moderate injuries in the collision.
Ortega’s 58-year-old passenger was not hurt. Ortega and the passenger were wearing safety belts during the crash.
No arrest have been made in this fatal crash.
