Maria Morales Fatally Struck in Bakersfield Crash on Comanche Drive near Sunset Boulevard
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 28, 2021) – Last month, Maria Angela Morales, 72, died in a pedestrian crash on Comanche Drive near Sunset Boulevard.
According to California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 27. Moreover, it occurred on Comanche Drive, north of Sunset Boulevard.
Reports revealed that a southbound car struck a female pedestrian as she crossed Comanche Drive.
Furthermore, responders pronounced the victim, a 72-year-old Morales, an Arvin resident, dead at the scene.
Moreover, the car driver, a 17-year-old, remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The events leading to the crash remain under investigation.
