1 Dead and 1 Injured in Atwater Pedestrian Accident on Santa Fe Drive
ATWATER, CA (December 18, 2019) – A woman died while a man got hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on Santa Fe Drive.
The incident occurred on December 16 on Santa Fe Drive and Wallace Road before 9:30 p.m.
According to CHP, a woman drove west on Santa Fe Drive near Wallace Road. Meanwhile, a man and a woman walked near the shoulder of the road. The woman walked in the traffic lane and the driver couldn’t stop on time.
She attempted to steer but she hit the woman, forcing her into the man. The 77-year-old female pedestrian Maria Luna died at the scene.
Responders transported the man to the hospital with an unknown condition.
