Maria Lourdes Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Village Drive and Llanada Road [Victorville, CA]

Maria Lourdes Identified as Fatality in Victorville Accident on Village Drive

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 18, 2020) – Last Monday, a major injury crash occurred on Village Drive in Victorville, resulting in the death of 50-year-old Maria Lourdes.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred at 11:53 a.m. on Village Drive and Llanada Road. The Victorville Fire Department and deputies with the Victorville Police Department all responded to the scene.
 
When they arrived, firefighters found three vehicles at the scene. They located a 2007 silver Honda Civic that has partially fallen on a curb with major damage. Meanwhile, they also located a silver older-model Honda and a Public Works City of Victorville utility truck.
 
The authorities dispatched two helicopters to the scene. However, since one of the victims was not stable enough to be airlifted, they canceled the second helicopter. Thus, responders transported the 2007 Honda occupant to a local hospital in serious condition.
 
Meanwhile, firefighters utilized special tools to free the driver of the older-model Honda after being inside his car. He was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
 
Medics transported Ms. Lourdes, an Adelanto resident, to the Victor Valley Global Medical Center; however, she was pronounced dead shortly after,
 
Due to the crash, the authorities closed the Village Drive between Amargosa Road and Vazquez Avenue. The authorities said that motorists should expect the road to stay closed for multiple hours.
 
Moreover, there were no reports about the city of Victorville employees suffering from any injury.
