Maria Lopez Arrested in DUI Crash in Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa, Ca (August 18, 2020) – On Wednesday, at about 9 p.m., 39-year-old Maria Lopez of Santa Rosa was arrested for DUI crash on Cleveland Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue.
The Santa Rosa police said they confirmed that Lopez was under the influence of alcohol when her car plowed into a parked police car.
The police officer was assisting with traffic control during a fire. He parked his marked vehicle with the lights on.
Just then, Lopez’s Hyundai Accent rear-ended the patrol car.
The authorities took the officer to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. While Lopez did not incur any injury.
Moreover, the authorities arrested and booked her into the Sonoma County Jail for DUI causing injury.
