Maria Concepcion Martinez Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Atlantic Avenue [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (August 17, 2024) – Maria Concepcion Martinez, 53, of Long Beach, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Atlantic Avenue early Friday morning.

It was about 12:15 a.m. when the fatal crash happened at the intersection with Pacific Coast Highway.

Troopers determined a 2017 Mazda 6 driven by 24-year-old Los Angeles woman was westbound on Pacific Coast Highway toward Atlantic Avenue.

 At the same time, a 2007 Toyota Scion driven by a 63-year-old Long Beach man was northbound on Atlantic Avenue.

The Mazda broadsided the Toyota Scion in the middle of the intersection.

Maria Concepcion Martinez, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was killed at the crash scene.

Both drivers and three other passengers in one of the vehicles sustained injuries.
