Mardenia Carrillo Lopez Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on International Boulevard [Oakland, CA]

Oakland, CA (August 21, 2024) – Mardenia Carrillo Lopez, 17, of Oakland, was killed in a hit-and-run crash on International Boulevard Monday evening.

It was about 6:30 p.m. when the fatal collision happened in the 7200 block area.

Sadly, the authorities confirmed Mardenia Carrillo Lopez died at the crash scene.

Another person in the crosswalk with the victim was transported in stable condition.

Troopers said the involved driver also struck another vehicle in the 8400 block wherein the driver was arrested.

Meanwhile, investigators said alcohol played a role in the collision.
