Marcus J Kenny Killed, Andromeda N Pizzarro Hospitalized in Single-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5
Snohomish County, WA (August 3, 2020) – On Friday evening, 16-year-old Marcus J Kenny from Alger died, while three other people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 5.
The State Patrol said a Dodge Durango was moving south in the left lane near the Stillaguamish River Bridge just after 5 PM.
Just then, the driver merged to the right and swerved to avoid crashing into other vehicles, but lost control. The vehicle hit the barriers and rolled several times.
Kenny wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
The 35-year-old driver Andromeda N Pizzarro from Alger, a male passenger from Bellingham, and a young girl sustained injuries. Rescuers rushed them to a hospital in Everett.
Meanwhile, two other 2-year-old girls and a 3-year-old boy were properly restrained in the vehicle and did not get injured.
Authorities said drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
