Marcus Adkins of Moreno Valley Dies in Ramona Expressway Solo-Car Crash [San Jacinto, CA]

San Jacinto, CA (September 20, 2022) On Monday, 38-year-old Marcus Adkins of Moreno Valley was killed in a solo-car crash on the Ramona Expressway.

Riverside County Fire Department says that the fatal crash happened around 10:30 p.m. in the unincorporated community of Lakeview. Additionally, the crash happened three-quarters of a mile east of Bridge Street.

Reports say that a 37-year-old Moreno Valley woman driving a 2013 Nissan Altima lost control of the vehicle. Afterward the Nissan crossed the eastbound lanes, went to the shoulder and rolled over multiple times.

The imnpact of the crash ejected Adkins, who was a front passenger on the Nissan. Firefighters responding to the incident pronounced Adkins dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the female driver suffered moderate injuries and medics transported her to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley.

Authorities are investigating the incident, they do not believe impairment to be a factor in the fatal crash on Ramona Expressway.
