Marcos Campos Killed in Vehicle Crash on Highway 349 [Martin County, TX]

Martin County, TX (August 17, 2024) – Marcos Campos, 54, Chelsea Clark, 34, and Daniel Lindsey, 29, all from Lubbock, were killed in a HIghway 349 collision Friday morning.

It was about 4:40 a.m. when the fatal crash happened near mile marker 300.

DPS officers said a Kenworth truck with a trailer driven by Kevin Sanchez, 22, of Plainview, had a tire blowout and pulled over on Highway 349. However, the driver, was not able to get the vehicle off the highway.

A southbound car driven by Lindsey struck the trailer and reflective triangles. Lindsey and his two passengers, Clark and Campos, were killed at the scene.

Investigators said no one was wearing their seatbelts when the collision happened.

DPS said the crash remained under investigation, and additional information was not yet available.
