Two Injured, Marco Fonseca Injured in DUI Crash on Day Street
Moreno Valley, CA (January 21, 2021) – On Tuesday, two people were injured while police arrested 21-year-old Marco Fonseca of Hemet in a DUI crash on Day Street.
Moreover, the crash took place at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Cottonwood Avenue.
Fonseca was traveling south on Day Street in a Nissan sedan. He was driving over the speed limit and blew through a red traffic light crossing Cottonwood Avenue.
At the same time, a four-door BMW was traveling through the intersection. It crossed Cottonwood Avenue on a green light and was struck by Fonseca.
As a result of the crash, the BMW’s front seat was thrown out of the vehicle and sustained major injuries.
Similarly, the BMW’s driver incurred moderate injuries.
Immediately, responders took both of them to Riverside University Medical Center.
On the other hand, Fonseca did not incur injuries from the incident.
Ultimately, authorities booked him into Robert Presley Jail in Riverside on suspicion of driving under the influence. Additionally, causing great bodily injury and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
