Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Car at Oildale Intersection Identified
OILDALE, CA (August 10, 2019) – Authorities identified Marcellus Dangello Mizell Jr. as the motorcyclist killed after colliding with a car on East Roberts Lane, Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near North Chester Avenue, at about 11:15 AM. A sedan attempted to pull out of a private driveway when it collided with Mizell’s motorcycle.
Unfortunately, the motorcyclist died at the scene. Meanwhile, the unidentified sedan driver remained and cooperated with investigators. Furthermore, he did not sustain injuries in the crash.
The CHP ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the fatal crash. Also, a postmortem examination will be performed to determine cause and manner of death. Authorities will release additional information to the public following the conclusion of the investigation.
