LODI, CA (October 6, 2023) – Sunday morning, Marcelino Ruiz and 2 others sustained injuries in a startling single-vehicle crash on Burson Road near Carol Lane.

The crash happened when three Tokay High School football players rode in a pickup truck on Burson Road near Carol Lane. However, they struck a tree.

Then, the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department pulled two of the teens using the jaws of life.

One of the victims was 17-year-old Ruiz who remained hospitalized in critical condition.

John Villagomez, Ruiz’s father, revealed that his son was returning from a weekend fishing trip with his football buddies when the crash occurred.
