Seattle Man Dead and Two Other Injured in Two-Car Crash Highway 18
MAPLE VALLEY, WA (March 21, 2018) – A fatal two-car collision took place on State Route 18, late Wednesday night around 11:40 PM.
According to reports, a 27-year-old Auburn woman was headed eastbound on the highway, when she lost control and swerved into the westbound lanes. Her vehicle broadsided a black Acura sedan that was traveling west.
Washington State Patrol troopers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the crash near Southeast 231st Street, to find the two totaled vehicles in the road. A 28-year-old Seattle man sitting passenger in the Acura was pronounced dead on site. The Auburn woman and a 36-year-old Roy man were injured and taken to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The Auburn woman showed signs of impairment and admitted to using methamphetamine before the collision. She was taken into custody by the police and jailed for investigation of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
