3 Children Hospitalized in Sycamore Drive Traffic Collision
Antioch, CA (September 17, 2022) On Friday afternoon, a high-speed crash on Manzanita Way injured 5 people, 3 of which are children.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District say that the traffic collision happened at around 3:20 p.m. at the corner with Sycamore Drive.
Reports say that a a red Chevrolet Impala collided with a tan Mercury Mystique, the collision caused the Chevy to a group of children. The crash caused injuries to 3 12 year old children, 2 of which are major injuries.
Helicopter ambulance airlifted the 2 children to a hospital. Additionally, the Chevy driver was also life-flighted to a hospital. Meanwhile, paramedics transported other patients to the hospital.
Initial reports say that a high-speed westbound Chevy collided with the Mercury who was waiting for traffic to clear before turning left onto Manzanita Way.
Authorities are investigating the Sycamore Drive traffic collision and have not provided further information about the crash.
