Compton, CA (August 24, 2020) – On Wednesday, the 81-year-old Manuel Sanchez of Compton died in a pedestrian crash on North Long Beach Boulevard.
 
The fatal accident happened at about 10:00 a.m. in the 1700 block area.
 
Apparently, Sanchez suffered from fatal injuries and the authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. CHP officials said it is not yet identified how Sanchez was struck.
 
Also, it is unknown if the involved driver stayed or fled the scene.
 
Meanwhile, a sergeant at the sheriff’s Compton Station said they are investigating the crash.
