DUARTE, CA (December 23, 2020) – Tuesday morning, Manuel Rodriguez, 64, of Whittier died in a multi-vehicle accident on the 210 Freeway near Buena Vista Street.
 
The incident occurred at around 8:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol revealed. Moreover, it took place on the eastbound 210 Freeway, near Buena Vista Street.
 
The authorities declared one person dead at the scene.
 
Later reports state that Rodriguez rode in a 2004 Subaru Forester in the No. 4 freeway lane.
 
20-year-old Marcos Miramontes, of Los Angeles, drove the vehicle.
 
CHP say that Miramontes veered the Subaru to the left, in effect colliding with a 2014 Infiniti in the No. 3 lane.
 
When the Subaru veered back to the right, it crashed into a big rig in the No. 5 lane.
 
As a result, the Subura crashed and rolled into the embankment. Mr. Rodriguez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.
 
Even so, Miramontes remained uninjured.
 
Once additional details become available, the public will be duly notified.
 
Meanwhile, due to the limited information available, the events that have led up to the crash remain under active investigation.
