23-Year-Old Male Killed in Motorcycle-SUV Collision on Blossom Hill near Judith Street
SAN JOSE, CA (April 8, 2018) – On Sunday afternoon around 3:50 PM, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision that took place on Blossom Hill Road.
Officers responded to a traffic collision involving a 2003 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle and a black 2007 Ford Edge, on the intersection of Blossom Hill and Judith Avenue.
The accident occurred when a 23-year-old male motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle on Blossom Hill and crashed into the back of the utility vehicle. The Ford was stopped for traffic in the eastbound lanes of the South San Jose thoroughfare near Judith Street.
Police said the motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. He was identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as Manuel Contreras of San Jose.
The driver of the Ford stopped and cooperated with investigators according to police.
