1 Dead in Discovery Bay Auto Accident on Highway 4 and Middle River Bridge

 
DISCOVERY BAY, CA (June 22, 2022) – Sunday morning, a 25-year-old Manteca man died in a rollover crash on Highway 4 and Middle River Bridge.
 
The authorities received a report of the incident at 7:15 a.m. on Highway 4, west of Middle River Bridge.
 
According to reports, a 2005 Infiniti G35 headed east on the two-lane highway. Then, it veered onto the dirt shoulder, struck a power pole, overturned, and landed on its roof in the water-filled ditch. Moreover, the CHP estimates that the incident occurred at 12:30 a.m.
 
Initial reports said that a passing motorist was “screaming in the roadway,” two people were in the car and one was unresponsive.
 
Officers found the 25-year-old Manteca male driver dead at the scene. Meanwhile, responders transported the 27-year-old Manteca woman to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the crash.
