340th Street DUI Collision Results in Injuries

Pierce County, WA (August 08, 2022) – On Saturday, two people sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on State Route 7.

It was about 3:30 p.m. when the traffic incident took place at 340th Street.

According to the officers, a 63-year-old Spanaway man was northbound on the freeway, northwest of Eatonville.

At the same time, a man and woman from Orting on a motorcycle stopped at the same location. The Spanaway man struck the motorcycle, and both of the vehicles were sent into a nearby ditch.

Right away, the Orting couple in their 50s were rushed to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Tacoma. Similarly, the rescuers also took the Spanaway man to the same hospital.

Moreover, officers say that the Spanaway man now faces a possible charge of vehicular assault. Also, the authorities suspect the man of driving under the influence.

In the meantime, they are still investigating the 340th Street DUI collision.

When driving, it is important to follow all driving laws and the conditions of the road. If you see any vehicle or driver that looks dangerous, keep your distance. If you see a vehicle weaving in and out of the lanes, following too closely, move over a few lanes and get out of their way.
