Two Fatally Hurt after San Francisco Two-Car Crash on Third Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 24, 2019) – Two people died following a two-car crash on Third Street in the Bayview District on Sunday, June 23.
According to San Francisco Police, the accident happened around 1:15 a.m., at the intersection of Third Street and Paul Avenue. First responders arrived to the area shortly after.
Neither the victims nor the vehicles involved have been identified; however, reports indicate that two people were killed as a result of the crash.
Paramedics rushed a female occupant to San Francisco General, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Another victim was also taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
Furthermore, a male victim was also pronounced dead on scene due to the impact.
The impact consequently pushed one of the vehicles into the Muni Metro tracks. There, it almost struck a T-line train that left the platform.
It’s currently unclear if the two deceased were in the same vehicle or one from each car. Their identities were not immediately released. Police are still currently investigating to determine further details and liability.
